CULLMAN, Ala. – The 11th annual Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer 3D Archery Tournament hosted by Heritage Archery Club and the Bowhunters of Alabama is et for May 21 and 22 at Cullman Archery Park. The competition welcomes archers of all skill levels and ages to compete individually or in teams in events such as fixed pins, open class and traditional. Awards will include Top Archer and Top Team. Over 100 archers and bowhunters from Cullman and surrounding areas are expected to attend.
The event raises funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA), a local nonprofit investing in lifesaving breast cancer research at seven institutes across the state. “Over the last decade, Bow-Up has raised $213,744 to support research advances that impact not only breast cancer treatment, but prevention and early diagnosis. This contribution is truly a testament to the power this community’s support,” said Beth Bradner Davis, BCRFA executive director.
Nichols Outfitters, an outdoor apparel, hunting equipment, firearms and archery retailer, is the presenting sponsor of this year’s event. Mick Springer, lead archery technician for Nichol Outfitters said, “It’s our pleasure to sponsor Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer again this year. We’re thrilled each year to support and try to help find a cure for breast cancer.”
Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for youth and $125 for a team. Registration and event details are available at https://bcrfa.networkforgood.com/events/40562-bow-up-against-breast-cancer-2022. Online registration ends Thursday, May 19, but will be available onsite starting at 7:00 p.m. on both event days.

In 2021, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama invested $1.225 million in local, lifesaving research bringing the organization’s lifetime contribution to over $12 million.
